Introducing the latest release in the Hummingbird series by Newbeedrone, the Hummingbird V3.1 RaceSpec ELRS BNF!

Here's the video I made about this build:

This aircraft features an updated Hummingbird FC, a new camera mount and a new motor wiring system - the motor winding wire does NOT connect to a PCB in the motors, but rather goes straight from the motor to the FC, protected by a short length of ultralightweight heatshrink. This was one of the primary reasons this aircraft is now the lightest BNF on the market. Hummingbird created new 30,000 kV motors with no pcb expressly for this build:

This BNF also features a new camera mount, which seems to be inspired by the "Bikeguy" mount. Tho there are significant changes to the design, it does feature the characteristic loop that goes up around the back of the camera. This new mount is also adjustable thru the use of the different screw holes on the back of the mount.

I cant wait to hear what the community thinks of this new release!!

Here's what Newbeedrone has to say about it:

Weighing just 16.5g, the Hummingbird V3.1 RaceSpec BNF Mini Drone is crafted for professional FPV racers seeking peak performance in a lightweight design. Its agility and speed make it the ideal choice for competitive pilots looking to dominate the race track.

Compliance is key for serious racers, and the Hummingbird V3.1 RaceSpec features an accurate 25mW VTX, ensuring that your output power stays within race-legal limits. No need to worry about getting disqualified for exceeding power limits—focus on your race with confidence.

In addition to VTX compliance, this drone offers the flexibility of multiple ESC PWM rates: 24kHz, 48kHz, and 96kHz. The factory default is set to 48kHz, which strikes the perfect balance between torque, smoothness, and efficiency. However, racers can easily adjust to 24kHz for more torque or 96kHz for smoother control. Just make sure to use the O-H-5 firmware to prevent any ESC damage. Powered by HMB RS 0702 30000KV motors, the Hummingbird V3.1 RaceSpec is designed to handle high-speed, competitive racing. Tuned with Betaflight 4.5 KAACK firmware, it provides the precise control you need to excel in every race.

Key Features:

  • Lightweight Design: Only 16.5g, giving you unmatched agility and speed.
  • Accurate 25mW VTX – Stay within race-legal power limits without worry.
  • ESC Flexibility – Supports 24kHz, 48kHz, or 96kHz PWM rates. Factory default is 48kHz for balance, but users can switch as needed. Use O-H-5 firmware to avoid damaging the ESC.
  • Powerful Motors: HMB RS 0702 30000KV for high-speed racing.
  • Battery Connector: A30 connector for reliable power delivery during races compatible with BT2.0.
  • Firmware: Betaflight 4.5 KAACK, with RPM Limit for spec racing.

A Message from Mr. Tiny Whoop

about Tariffs and Pricing

Hey everyone,

I’m speaking to you now both as a business owner and a member of the FPV family we've built together.

For almost ten years now, I’ve been doing everything I can to keep Tiny Whoop prices steady, even as costs started to rise. But with the newest wave of tariffs—more than doubling the cost of nearly every part we import from China—that fight has hit a wall.

Lots of you have already noticed some prices going up across the site. This isn’t a price hike to chase profit. It’s survival mode. Like everyone in the FPV industry right now, I’m facing a set of changes that hit fast and hard. Nearly everything we source from China now costs us more than double.

For an irresponsibly long time I ate the costs of the tariffs, but the math doesn’t work anymore without putting Tiny Whoop at serious risk.

So here’s what I want you to know:
Every price increase is a response to real, unavoidable costs.
Even with the price increases I’m taking a big hit.
When this pressure eases, I’ll roll back prices immediately.

If you have any questions or ideas it would mean a lot to hear from you!

We’re still shipping every day, still guaranteeing satisfaction on all orders. But this is the toughest moment Tiny Whoop has faced in nearly a decade.

Through all of this, my mission hasn’t changed. I’m still committed to helping people experience the gift of flight, to keeping TinyWhoop.com on the leading edge of innovation, and to making sure the magic of Tiny Whoop doesn’t get swallowed up by politics and global economics.

If you’ve been a part of this ride in any way, I am so, so grateful! Thank you for supporting Tiny Whoop, thank you for supporting my family, and thank you for being a part of this amazing community!
